The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo hits H&M
So the Versace H&M collaboration was a designer/high street partnership that I just couldn’t get excited about. Too much neon, too many swirls, too many gold chains!
But, here comes the next big news for H&M – the first film collaboration just in time for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo premiere.
Available in stores from 14 December, this collection promises leather, hoodies, skinny jeans and all things fit for the film’s dark anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander’s character.
The 30-piece capsule collection will be available in industrial shades of maroon, charcoal grey and of course – black. H&M even enlisted the help of Trish Sommerville, the film’s costume designer, to ensure the items were as authentic as possible!
“I love this collection and what we’ve achieved with Trish,” Anna Norling, designer for Divided at H&M, added. “She has such an amazing eye, is so specific and has such a strong vision. The clothes are all about the attitude – they have a toughness to them but they are also really flattering. The collection is so much more than costume – it’s a fashion statement, it’s modern, and it’s right for now.”
