Pringle’s new capsule collection
So I had this idea in my head that Pringle was only for uber-posh Brit types…or golfers…however, it appears I may have been wrong. Or has Pringle just recently got cooler?
Next month Pringle is launching a capsule collection inspired and designed by the hottest talent at Central Saint Martins in London.
The range came about after fashion students took on the task of cataloguing and archiving pieces sent in by aficionados of the 195-year-old knitwear brand. The idea for the capsule collection came about as Central Saint Martins’s MA Knitwear students were tasked with cataloguing and archiving knitwear pieces from the designer. They were then challenged to create items of clothing for the one off collection – all inspired by the items they had been archiving. Sounds like a task from The Apprentice!
The collection they put together is a mixture of classically ‘Pringle’ distinguishing features to contemporary elements – lots of colour blocking and geometric prints.
Items from the collection are available to buy from 1 September and for, I think, the first time ever – I’ve quite liking the look of some of these Pringle beauties!
