Clarence House has yet to confirm the collaboration, they responded to the newspaper article by saying: “We’re not commenting on the specific designer for the dress because Catherine Middleton wishes to keep the designer a secret until the wedding day.”
Whilst the Alexander McQueen label has categorically denied that Sarah Burton will be making Kate Middleton’s dress for the Royal Nuptials.
The wedding dress of any Royal Wedding is always a high point of public interest but the world has been waiting with baited breath for Kate to reveal her chosen designer. As such a prestigious commission, any designer would be honoured to be chosen – and just imagine the publicity!
Some say the soon to be princess has chosen Alexander McQueen’s creative director in order to escape the claims that her fashion sense is less daring and more dated.
