Matthew Williamson at Somerset House

Matthew Williamson

I’ve come across a really exciting exhibition at Somerset House. Currently on display is a whole host of designs by Matthew Williamson.

The exhibition coincides with the launch of Williamson’s new book and offers an insight into his life as a top designer. Written by fashion historian Colin McDowell, with a preface by Williamson’s “best mate” Sienna Miller, the glossy tome is more scrapbook than autobiography. It includes the designer’s inspirations, tracking his colourful career from the start in 1997 with his debut collection.

Head down to Somerset House before 30 January 2011 and pay a visit to this free exhibition featuring photos, aspects of Williamson’s new book and quotes from key contributors such as Diane Von Furstenburg, Zandra Rhodes and Anna Wintour, Editor of US Vogue.
